Zhongshan City Museum
Zhongshan Museum is a comprehensive local museum that integrates collection, research, exhibition, and education. It is under the jurisdiction of Zhongshan Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism Bureau and has specialized museums such as Xiangshan Commercial and Cultural Museum, Zhongshan Overseas Chinese History Museum, and Zhongshan Radio Museum. The Zhongshan Museum was established on September 28, 1984, and is located at 197 Sunwen Middle Road, Shiqi Street. The new building was completed and opened to the public on May 18, 2022. The total area of the building is 17426 square meters, with a total construction area of 24832 square meters. The museum area preserves two immovable cultural relics: the former site of Qiaoli Zhongshan Public Hospital, a cultural relic protection unit of Zhongshan City, the former site of the 139th Guesthouse of the Zhongshan County Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the former residence of Zheng Zaoru. The overall layout adopts a garden style, and the old and new buildings coexist harmoniously with the garden, integrating into one.
